Day 19: Mercy

Today is Day 19… wow this month is going by so fast! I wanted to reference back to Day 1 when I talked about purchasing “birds of hope” as our Christmas ornaments this year. I finally got around to picking them up on Friday and wanted to share some pic of them.

So cute right! Each one is handmade and one-of-a-kind.

Back to the GOODchristmas experience for today. Today’s focus in on Mercy. Me and my husband have done this over the last couple of year and it makes us think deeply about the mercy God has shown us.

This maybe a very difficult challenge for today, but I encourage you to try. You probable won’t feel better about yourself afterward – this will most likely come from a place of obedience to God to extend love and grace – no matter ones history. Today send a Christmas card with a gift card to a local restaurant or food/beverage place to a sex offender in your area. We never know what God can or will use to change another persons live. Give it way, just as God has given to you.

It is the Holy Spirit’s job to convict, God’s job to judge and my job to love.” – Billy Graham
